The Wolf’s best bet is resuming from a spell at the Sunshine Coast. Here are Sunday’s racing tips.

Saltoree placed second from two runs over the summer and looks primed to resume here with a first up win. The O’Dea/Hoysted trained three year old tuned up for this with an effortless trial win at Deagon on Monday. Baylee Nothdurft should position her just behind the speed and be too strong late.

Steplee was most impressive on debut a month ago at Muswellbrook, hitting the line hard to finish second to Mr Whitacre. That horse confirmed the form by coming out and winning again, and there was a huge margin to third. He should only be improved from that and strikes a winnable race on his home track.
Recommended Price: $3.40
Confidence Level: 4/5

Ex-Victorian Miss Kingston resumed without a trial at this track over 900m and was a huge drifter in the market, but defied that to be a good thing beaten in finish second, held up for a vital stage. She should be even better suited out to 1100m here and this race looks no harder.
Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 4/5

Opoho Dreaming finds a lovely race at her first start for new trainer Donna Scott. She joins the new yard in decent form, having finished third at Geelong last time out when in the hands of Mike Moroney. From barrier one she should get the gun run around this tight turning track and she loves it wet.
Recommended Price: $3.00
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

Power Me Up looks a terrific chance for top Southern Districts trainer Mitchell Beer in the 2021 Narrandera Cup. The gelding comes off a disappointing last start effort at Rosehill, but that was in much harder class. Prior to that he had won three straight in brilliant style, including on heavy ground.
Recommended Price: $3.50

Scone 3/2 Steplee & Sunshine Coast 6/4 Saltoree
