5- Benchmark 84 (1400m)

Frankie Pinot – massive run at Sandown when flashed home from last on the home turn for second. Senior rider goes on and third-up.

Agreeable – did best work late at the end of 1300m when second. Up in class, second-up winner, extra distance suits and down 6kgs.

Numbers: 9, 12, 13, 11.

6-Sapphire Stakes (Group 3, 1200m)

Port Louis – was first-up after Brisbane campaign and closed strongly from last at the Valley. Fitter for this and should be hitting the line hard. Nice colt with plenty of upside.

Profiteer – brave when went out hard in G1 Moir and didn’t shirk at the end, this easier and back against own age.

Minsk Moment – did a bit wrong and still made it two from two when got the job done at the Valley beating Port Louis.

Extreme Warrior – brilliant first-up winner at Echuca. Will strip fitter for this and wasn’t far away in BD Prelude before a spell.

7-Thousand Guineas (Group 1, 1600m)

Best: Zouzarella – won two in a row and latest was always well back at Sandown before letting down strongly in the run home. Nice 1400m trial and step-up to the mile is perfect.

Hinged – at second run from a spell she was a close second in the G1 Flight Stakes at Randwick. Finished hard from well back, Waller trained.

Barb Raider – hit the front early and fought hard for a dominant win in the Oaks trial at Flemington. Toughest test for horse and trainer.

Bons A Pearla – tenacious win in the Tranquil Star (1400m). She was under hard riding at the 600m and just kept finding. Extra distance and the addition of blinkers are positives.

Numbers: 6, 2, 10, 4.

8-Ladies’ Day Vase (Group 3, 1600m)

Best: Only Words – might as well have stayed home last start. Never saw daylight until the race was over when fourth in the Stocks Stakes. Third-up now drawn to get all the favours.

Harmony Rose – not disgraced off a tough run in the G1 Epsom. Down in grade, back against own sex and she’s G1 placed.

Sirileo Miss – honest mare that has won her last two starts. Races on the bunny and should box seat drawn to get the gun run.

Butter Chicken – not comfortable at the Valley last start. Prior to that ran well at Flemington so the last two runs at G2 level were okay. Should be close to peak after two runs in.

Numbers: 1, 6, 9, 12.

Warwick Farm

5-Benchmark 72 (2400m)

Best: Sound Of Canons – not disgraced in G3 last start when beaten just over 5lens behind Entente. Fitter for two runs and J-Mac the new pilot.

Zudin – placed last two starts at the provincials over 2100m, both were dour runs so could be looking for longer and gets it here.

Arabolino – tried to lead all of the way, but was nabbed by Savvy Valentino here last start. Meets that horse 1.5kgs better.

Merlinite – got well back and finished off okay behind Savvy Valentino. That was just third run from a break and should be ready to run this out strongly.

Numbers: 4, 8, 5, 6.

6-Benchmark 72 (1400m)

Daralina Belle – unbeaten in three career starts. She’s a month between runs, but kept ticking over with a strong trial win this track, promising mare.

Parachuter – showed some ticker to fight on, after leading, for third in a blanket finish at Randwick last start. Rock hard fit and should be in this for a long way.

Numbers: 4, 5, 8.

7-Benchmark 78 (1200m)

Best: Promotions – led them up in BM88 and showed a lot of fight for fourth to Ellsberg. Placed all three starts here and fitter than most.

Mollycoddle – stablemate of Promotions and having first run since June. Had a very soft trial at Hawkesbury, first-up winner and Cummings-J-Mac combine.

Exceltic – drew the outside and taken back early in Saturday grade and finished powerfully latest. Draw no help here, but will be getting home hard.

Torun – worked early to race handy and tired late for third at Randwick last start. Up in class, but drops 3kgs and blinkers go on.

Numbers: 5, 7, 2, 9.

8-Benchmark 72 (1100m)

Best: Anagain – resuming and followed Maiden win with a second to the smart Paulele in G3 at Randwick. Ridden out for third to Trumball in Hawkesbury 1000m trial.

Six Again – easy winner in 900m Newcastle Maiden at second race start. Big mare that will have taken improvement and she has plenty of upside.

Your Too Good – led and gave it up to sit second. No peace and hit the front a little early before fighting on for second here. It was a good tough run and honest.

Sequana – chased from well back and had enough on the line at the end of 1400m last start. Freshened for this and should be close to peak.

Numbers: 6, 12, 13, 7.

Doomben

5-Class 5 (1350m)

Best: Let’s Party Marty – ran super in Twba when wide and pushed on. Trapped deep throughout and then run down late by Vinco.

Ruru – struggled to stay in touch Gold Coast 1000m trial. Was midfield in G1 Qld Oaks before a spell. This distance is not ideal, but wet track and while fresh she should be hitting the line hard.

Cabeirian – not far away here last start off a tough wide run over 1200m. Up in distance is a plus and has won in heavy.

Norm’s Choice – strong third-up winner at Ipswich latest and well in with the 3kg claim.

Numbers: 1, 9, 2, 8.

6-Class 1 Plate (2240m)

Best: Heeya – was having third career start and broke Maiden status with a win over 2180 at Ipswich. She was dominant and will run the trip out strongly.

Malibu Blaze – Waller trained and followed Mdn win this track with fifth at the Gold Coast, but was cramped for room. Longer trip suits and no world-beaters here.

Khaalis – another Waller runner and this import is having fifth Aussie start and not far way in tougher company in Sydney in recent runs.

Numbers: 12, 6, 2.

7-Benchmark 65 (1650m)

Best: Daulat Tai Panaziz – runs well spaced and closed well last start, after hitting the running rail, when second this track and distance. Nicely weighted with the 3kg claim.

Heaven Amore – placed last two starts. Wound-up strongly at the end of 1350m latest and a step-up to the mile should suit and drawn to get the right run.

Karlstad – did all the chasing at Ipswich and toughed it out for a close third. Should be peaking for this.

Bizou – not far behind Epicurious at the Sunshine Coast last start, when did some work early. Fitter for three runs and has been placed in heavy.

Numbers: 1, 10, 7, 9.

8-Class 1 (1350m)

Best: Happy Babe – was second-up and finished off strongly when a close second this class and distance at Ipswich. Nicely weighted after the claim and has been placed in heavy.

Not A Choice – led and gave a good kick to score a dominant Maiden win this track and distance. Well drawn and can lead or box-seat.

He Knows – second at last two starts and most recent had all the favours and just missed at Sunshine Coast.

Sundus – bolted in her Maiden on a heavy 8 at the Sunshine Coast, should handle the class rise on that effort.

Numbers: 4, 9, 5, 10.
