The Wolf’s Best Bet just needs some luck to overcome a wide draw. Here are Thursday’s racing tips.

O’Reilly McLuke has to contend with the wide draw but Mel Julius should still look to find the front on him and that can help overcome it. He wasn’t far off last time at Moonee Valley, the extra trip suits and so does the prospect of wet ground.
Recommended Price: $4.60
Confidence Level: 4/5

Heberite disappointed last time but he does come from the best stable in Australia when it comes to stayers and the prospect of some rain around plays into his hands as he clearly on fires on wet ground. John Allen takes over today and anything like his best form would see him very hard to beat.
Recommended Price: $5.50
Confidence Level: 3/5

Favourite Conrad looks a risk with bar plates going on so Born A Warrior looks a worthy play. He doesn’t win out of turn but his sole victory came over this track and trip, and his form prior to a spell was very good. Recent trials have been sharp also.
Recommended Price: $4.60
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

Packer’s Bond was having his first start for new trainer Henry Dwyer last start at Ballarat and won impressively. The Dundeel gelding has always shown good talent, and it would not surprise to see him put together some wins before his rating increases.
Recommended Price: $6.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
