The Wolf’s best bet is back on his favourite track. Here are Wednesday’s racing tips.

Kinloch caught the eye with a fast-finishing effort last time and should relish getting out in trip and back to his favourite track. The Kris Lees trained gelding was slowly away last time at Rosehill but closed off strongly to finish midfield in stronger company. Getting out in trip should suit and this is a winnable race.

If you can forgive Alumna a poor run last time, her best form is more than capable of competing here. The Waterhouse/Bott-trained mare was a terrific winner first up at Geelong in what proved to be a strong form race but disappointed out in trip next time at Bendigo. Back in trip and at a track that should suit her on pace style, she can bounce back.

Mother’s Mercy has now won five of her seven starts and comes to town off a good first up win at Newcastle. She pressed forward to take the lead and while she was there to beaten late, dug deep to win. That on pace style should be suited to this track and she will be hard to beat again.
Recommended Price: $4.50
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

Speed machine Jenga looks nicely placed first up. The Hawkes trained filly was a brilliant all the way winner on debut back in January, before disappointing next time out at Canterbury. Spelled since, she has trialled very nicely for this and, barring a late collapse, Jenga should be too good.
Recommended Price: $3.50
Confidence Level: 4/5

I Am A Beauty was sent out a short-priced favourite first up, and while he did get the benefit of a superb ride from Jaden Lloyd, he put his rivals to the sword late, winning by an ever-extending three-length margin. The son of Invincible Spirit has been placed in open 3YO company on a Saturday before so it will not surprise to see him go right through his grades. 1400m second up looks perfect.
