5-Benchmark 64 (2232m)
Best: Play Me Now – poorly ridden last start, senior goes on and drops in class.
Heir To The Throne – in the money all three starts this prep, will run the trip out strongly and drawn to get the gun run and has won here.
Prince Alby – held-up when the tempo lifted at Cranbourne then closed off strongly when clear.
Slipintothis – won and then last start second at Bendigo. Racing in good form and will run the trip.
Numbers: 2, 1, 3, 4.
6-Class 1 (1208m)
Best: I’m Thunderstuck – resuming and not far away in Group 2 Autumn Stakes before a spell. Worked strongly to the line in recent Caulfield 800m jump-out.
Turin Warrior – faced the breeze three wide at Sandown and stuck on okay despite the tough run. Fitter for this and D. Lane sticks.
Estoril Park – showed speed Flemington straight 1100m and no surprise weakened late. Down in grade and previous midweek form was solid.
Numbers: 1, 4, 3.
7-Benchmark 64 (1736m)
Best: Cheptegei – close second in Class 1 here last start and should have won. Was held-up for a run and once clear flew late to just fail this track.
Facemask – super consistent and solid second last start when wanted to lay-in badly down the running. The addition of blinkers may help him run straight.
Brasada – fitter for two runs from a break. Latest got home hard at Bendigo at the end of 1600m.
Siren Rock – made a long run at Ballarat and kept finding. Ran well in Saturday class before a spell and third-up now.
Numbers: 13, 5, 2, 8.
8-Benchmark 64 (1419m)
Best: Skywolf – was a month between runs at Pakenham, led and finished close fourth. Drawn to get the right run and can only be fitter.
Tadashi Hamada – close to a win and not at home in heavy 8 at Ballarat last start. Should be primed after three runs this prep.
Yulong Impact – resumed with strong win at Moe, looks to have plenty of upside.
Devil’s Rain – was second this track then out of his depth at Caulfield. Back in class and blinkers go on.
Numbers: 8, 7, 9, 4.
4-Benchmark 72 (1100m)
Best: Miss Fox – slow to muster and got too far back at Randwick when resumed. Found the line strongly when found clear running and has won second-up.
Turnstyle – won and then disappointed last start, but went out too hard. Has since had a soft barrier trial and can turn things around.
Irish Angel – first-up and won this grade before a spell. Had plenty in the tank in Rosehill 900m trial behind Ulysses.
Numbers: 5, 3, 7.
5-Benchmark 72 (1100m)
Best: Fastconi – placed three runs this prep. Latest was there to win, but didn’t go on with it when second this track. The addition of blinkers here can help get his mind on the job.
Stoical – won Hawkesbury Cl1 with 58.5kg. Had the gun run and didn’t beat much, but did it in style and that was his first run since January.
Numbers: 5, 6.
6-Benchmark 72 (1550m)
Best: Acrophobic – looked to have them covered at Randwick last start, but didn’t give a lot. J-Mac, good gate and blinkers added can help him find winning form.
Canadian Spice – won here under these conditions last start. Went along at a decent tempo and found plenty at the end.
Titanium Power – racing well in wet or dry. Won at Hawkesbury and latest fought hard at Warwick Farm for third to Zell. Rock hard fit and will race right on the bunny.
Numbers: 1, 9 , 5.
7-Benchmark 72 (1900m)
Best: Squanto – raced in the second half of the field and had no luck in the straight. Once found clear running hit the line better than most for fifth to Vigorous Flow.
Sir Aglovale – last, very wide on the home turn and didn’t give a lot in the straight when eighth to Vigorous Flow. Can be closer from the good gate and Waller puts blinkers back on this gelding.
Montserrat – placed last two latest lumped 61.5kgs and game second this track and distance to Vigorous Flow. Well weighted with the 3kg claim and very honest.
Time Raid – raced handy and showed plenty of fight when nabbed on the line here last start. Bowman to ride, good alley so should be prominent.
Numbers: 17, 16, 2, 3.
5-Class 3 (1000m)
Best: Goldsborough – scored first-up win here on home track and latest was game third to Kisukano at Doomben, in much tougher company.
Modelka – in the money four of five and first-up since January. Lightly raced mare that has trialled twice and two-time first-up winner.
Uno Amor – won this class and track two starts back. She was getting to the line strongly here last start until jock ran into a dead-end.
Liza With A Zee – won two of last three, latest showed speed and fought on for win at the Gold Coast, this hard, but drops 3kgs.
Numbers: 1, 4, 10, 7.
6-Benchmark 70 (2200m)
Best: Designs – ran super when beaten just under 5lens in Group 2 Roses behind Only Words. Big drop in class and gets in very well at the weights.
Raptures – placed last two in Sydney midweek company. Likes the sting out of the track and no world beaters in this.
Takeittothelimit – improved in each of her three runs from a spell. Closed well at Doomben for third to Top Order and winner this track and distance.
Numbers: 7, 2, 1.
7-Class 1 (1200m)
Best: Goldschlager – probably should have won last start and not finished ninth. Got a long way back and went to the line untested, in traffic. Second-up now and positive jockey change.
One Shy Ruby – no luck at Ipswich, didn’t get a crack at them and was full of running. Good effort in tougher company prior to that, well drawn.
Love My Super – trained here and finished off strongly at the Gold Coast behind Liza With A Zee. In the money three of four and fitter off that first run since January.
Redoute’s Image – okay run when resumed at Rosehill. Promises plenty, rarely delivers, but opposition not overly strong so goes in.
Numbers: 9, 12, 10, 13.
8-Class 2 (1400m)
Best: Paredo – placed at Listed level before a spell. Raced handy in Glitter Strip’s race and held ground. Third-up now and this easier than last couple.
Rock Amore – in the money three runs this time in. followed Ipswich win with solid second in a bog at the Gold Coast. Better surface helps and 3kg claim a plus.
The Ritz – showed promise when last in work winning two of three starts. Trialled twice and latest cruised home in 1000m Gold Coast heat.
Sister Elenore – made ground in the wrong part of the track when she resumed here. That was first run since November so improvement likely.
Numbers: 3, 1, 6, 14.
