The Wolf’s best bet is looking for back to back Port Lincoln Cups. Here are Friday’s racing tips.

WOLF’S BEST

Dexter You Devil is looking for back to back wins in the Port Lincoln Cup and with his recent form being better than it looks on paper, it looks well within his grasp. At his last two starts starts he has run into two very smart up and comers in Ritratto and Ironclad, and there is nothing of that class here. While he does have the 61.5Kg, he is a proven weight carrier and no doubt he will be primed for this race.
Recommended Price: $2.80
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

WOLF’S TIPS

Chilli Bean has placed second at three of his last four starts and break through for a deserved win here at Stawell. He ran into a really smart one last time in the form of debutant Tuscan Leather. Noel Callow should find the front from barrier two and take plenty of running down.
Recommended Price: $2.50
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

Real Sensation brings superior form to this maiden and should be too good. The Luke Oliver trained gelding debuted with a midfield run at Flemington behind the very smart Oxley Jack, before preceding to a Pakenham maiden where he got back and worked home well. Billy Egan can hopefully have him a little closer in the run here and prove too strong.
Recommended Price: $2.30
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

Gem Song resumed from a long spell with a good fourth placing at Randwick and should be very hard to beat on his home track. The Kris Lees trained gelding ran fourth in the 2019 Epsom (trifecta being Kolding, Te Akau Shark and Star of the Seas) which shows just how classsy he is at his best. He generally flies second up and Nash Rawiller should give him every chance from barrier five.
Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

First starter McIlroy has trialled brilliantly for this and should take a power of beating. Trained by Clayton Douglas and to be ridden by his partner Jamie Kah, the Toronado three year old pressed Crosshaven in a trial at Geelong in late January, just before that galloper came out and ran third in the Group 1 CF Orr Stakes. This maiden has some depth but it will take a pretty smart one to deny McIlroy on debut.
Recommended Price: $2.25
Confidence Level: 4/5
