The Wolf’s best bet is an ex-Kiwi on his Australian debut. Here are Tuesday’s racing tips.

Ex-Kiwi Sudann strikes a very winnable race on his Australian debut. Now with Peter Moody, who has applied cheekers and a nose roll here, he stuck on well for second when last seen at New Plymouth about three weeks ago. He would get many easier opportunities than this in Australia.

Vintage Diesel has been running on well on tracks which have favoured front runners, so getting out to a mile with blinkers on should see him take a more forward position early. The ability is there and if the shades do the trick, he can win this.

Manhattan Sting was stepping up to 2200m for the first time when held up for clear running and arguably unlucky last start. He’s no star, but it’s a 2200m BM58 so he doesn’t need to be, and he should taken good benefit from that first run over a longer trip. Well drawn, he can figure at big odds.

Demeurer was a spectacular maiden winner at Moree two and a half weeks ago, exploding out of the barriers, finding the lead, and running his rivals into the ground. It was the win of a horse who has the ability to go right through his grades and this looks a suitable assignment.
Recommended Price: $3.00
