The Wolf’s Best Bet is well placed at Bathurst. Here are Friday’s racing tips.

Airstrike looks primed to launch in the last at Bathurst. The Bjorn Baker trained gelding has placed fourth and second at his last two starts, the most recent run being at Muswellbrook in stronger company. Some good formlines have come out of these races as well. Perfectly drawn, he should be too good.

Rattle And Bang had no chance last time at Moonee Valley after being caught four wide throughout, but he stuck on well all things considered given the tough run he had. While the gelding has drawn wide again, there looks speed here so Alana Kelly should be able to find the front. If she can, they will have a big task to catch him.
Recommended Price: $4.60
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

Samarkand comes across from New Zealand and looks primed to win on his Australian debut. Trained by Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman, who have won plenty of races here, he comes off a last start second at Te Rapa and is bred to relish this trip. Despite being a three year old he looks well placed against this field.
Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 4/5

Address Melbourne tends to be underrated by the market and looks good value again. The Bruce Anderson trained gelding ran second first up at Mornington, getting back in the run but hitting the line well when finally clear in the straight. 1400m on this big spacious track looks ideal.
