The Wolf’s best bet is an exciting three year old at Canterbury.

WOLF’S BEST

Not many horses break a track record on debut, but that is what The Bopper did at Tamworth earlier this year. He went on to win the $100K Inglis Challenge by almost four lengths. Trainer Kris Lees then spelled him and has given him two trials as a lead up to this. He looks a potential group horse and a class above what he meets here.

WOLF’S TIPS

Free Wilma was very good on her recent debut at Geelong and looks to find a suitable race here to break her maiden in. The Robert Hickmott trained filly got back in the run and coursed very wide but still hit the line well. With that run under her belt and in what looks to be a fairly thin race, she should prove hard to beat.

Recommended Price: $2.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

The Maher/Eustace stable’s record in staying races speaks for itself and they should be getting yet another winner here over distance with Wil John. Connections are clearly look to obtain a start in the Jericho Cup with this horse hence sending him all the way to Gawler for an $18,000 race. He chased home next start Moonee Valley placegetter Northern Voyage last time out and looks a class above his rivals here.

Recommended Price: $1.70
Confidence Level: 5/5

The Phillip Stokes stable has been on fire of late, especially in Adelaide, and he can get another winner here with Mr Stylish. He should be at peak fitness third up from a spell, and draws to get a sweet run from barrier four. The query is the 62Kg but he has earned it and should prove too good for an ordinary field.

Recommended Price: $3.50
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
