It’s not the most appealing way to bet as you’re essentially cheering for a lack of tries but that’s exactly what I’m expecting from these two. Both teams have been simply remarkable all year defensively with the Panthers conceding just 12 points per game and the Storm only 13.
Fun bonus fact: Nathan Cleary has played 20 games this year including Origin conceding just 7.8 points per game. All roads point to a low scorer.
The market has completely dismissed the best defensive team in the competition in the Panthers especially since they are 15 from 15 in games, they have scored the first try also.
If they are to cause an upset, it will likely need to be a ‘lead all the way’ job. For me that’s value.
