A huge night of chasing action from The Meadows lies ahead, including the running of the Group 1 Australian Cup. Here are The Wolf’s Saturday greyhound tips.

Although going down as a $1.50 favourite last time out, Houdini Boy still put in a big run, working home gallantly to go down by only a quarter of a length. He is drawn to settle much closer tonight and with his huge motor, should be able to go through his gears well enough to take out yet another Group 1 race.

WIN BETS

Paua Of Oscar got back to his best last start, comfortably winning his heat of this Country Championship Final by 3L in a very quick time of 25.56. He should settle close to the speed and only needs clear running to take this out.

Weblec Ace unfortunately found one better last time out, finishing 2nd beaten 8L by Tommy Shelby but gets conditions to suit tonight. He loves an inside draw and this track and trip has become his favourite, winning eight out of 13 attempts. He should get a lovely run in behind the red and should be able to draw away nearing the home turn.

Fernando Bluey has been racing in sensational form, with each start a carbon copy of the previous; jump lead and win. He has racked up an amazing record over the course and distance, with five wins from eight starts and despite drawing Box 6 he definitely possesses the speed to cross them here. If he can pull that off, he should have enough left in the tank to go on with the job.
