The Wolf found plenty of winners in the NBL last weekend and is back with his best bets for all eight games in Round 14!
New Zealand Breakers vs Brisbane Bullets
Friday 7:30pm AEST
The Breakers are playing like they know their season is over and come into this having lost three games on the spin and seven of their past eight. Injuries and inconsistency have plagued them since their opening game and has resulted in a really disappointing campaign. Meanwhile, the Bullets are battling away in hope they can clinch the fourth and final playoff spot. They’re currently two wins behind the Hawks in fourth with two games in hand, with only a couple of rounds left. Every game is nearly a must win for the Bullets and we expect them to act accordingly with a gritty performance against the out-of-form Breakers.
Tip: Bullets – Line
Melbourne United vs Illawarra Hawks
Sunday 3pm AEST
Melbourne United regained top spot on the ladder in Round 13 on the back of some classy performances against the Breakers and the Bullets. United are starting to get all their troops back from injuries and that’s sparked a current seven-game winning streak as we approach the end of the regular season. The Hawks continue to grind out results to stay in the box seat for a top four finish. Last weekend they won both of their games by two points each and interestingly, have now scored exactly 82 points in three straight games, which has to be some sort of record. All things considered, both teams are playing well at the moment but United have to be favoured to cover the spread on their home court on Sunday.
Perth Wildcats vs Illawarra Hawks
Friday 9:30pm AEST
For some value this weekend The Wolf is again targeting the Wildcats at the spread, as well as taking the total points under in the double market against the Hawks. The defending champs will be desperate to bounce back after a disappointing loss and should be able to pull it off in what will be a low-scoring affair involving two of the best defences in the competition.
