The Wolf had a fill up to start the week, landing both his best bet and value bet in Monday’s NBA tips.
He’ll be looking to celebrate Australia Day with another big day with a massive slate of NBA action on the menu, highlighted by the return of the King to Cleveland as a Laker where The Wolf is backing LeBron to fill up the stat sheet. Here are Tuesday’s NBA tips.
Best Bet
LeBron James is back in Cleveland on Tuesday as his 13-4 Lakers meet the inconsistent 8-8 Cavaliers.
The King will be well-rested for this one after the Lakers blew out the Bulls 101-90 last time out. He only played 28 minutes in the victory and should be keen for points on his former home court.
This will likely spell trouble for the Cavs. They’re coming off a back to back and got absolutely dominated by the out of form and Tatum-less Celtics in Boston, 141-103. Incredibly, Jaylen Brown managed 33 points in just 19 minutes! So LeBron could definitely produce something similar if he brings his A-game.
The Cavaliers have also allowed 38 pts to Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant in back to back games against the Nets recently.
Their defence is really struggling to contain superstars, which is even more reason to back LeBron’s points line for Tuesday’s action!
Value Bet
The 9-7 Indiana Pacers and 7-9 Toronto Raptors will play the second leg back to back this Tuesday with the Pacers looking for revenge.
Despite missing Lowry and Siakam, the Raptors upset the Pacers on Monday morning 107-102. Anunoby took control of the contest with 30 points and he was well supported by VanFleet (21 pts) and Powell (20 pts).
Lowry and Siakam are both listed as a questionable for this clash so their status will be something to monitor before tip-off.
On the flipside, the Pacers need to find some form on their home court after losing 3 of their last 4 in Indiana and the only victory was a 2 point OT win over the Magic.
However, The Wolf is predicting the Pacers to get going behind in-form big man Myles Turner.
It’s fair to say his points market isn’t reflecting his form at the moment after scoring 20+ pts in 3 of his last 4 outings. He comes off 25 points against this Raptors team.
He’s also taken 10+ field goal attempts in 4 straight games and The Wolf doesn’t see him slowing down as the Pacers badly need a win.
So look for Turner for a bit of value in the 20+ pt markets this Tuesday.
