Seven NBA games this Sunday with the Nets up against the Heat on ESPN/Kayo.

The Wolf will be backing the Beard to continue dishing out dimes and he’s backing Gary Harris to hit value in the Nuggets back to back meeting with the Suns. Here are The Wolf’s NBA tips.

Best Bet

The 9-8 Brooklyn Nets will face the 6-8 Miami Heat on ESPN/Kayo this Sunday in an important matchup for both sides.

For the Nets, they’ve been awful defensively in two straight defeats against the Cavaliers, conceding 125 points and 147 (in double OT). Kevin Durant also missed Saturday’s game and will be questionable for this one, especially on a back to back.

However, Kyrie Irving has returned with a bang offensively after a personal break, scoring 38 and 37 points in back to back games. The Heat are struggling with injuries at the moment, so Kyrie offers good value in the 30+ point range again on Sunday.

The Beard has also been straight-up money with his assist game with 4 straight games over 10 assists. So he’ll be The Wolf’s target of the day in his generous assist line.

Meanwhile, the Heat are coming off a disappointing 101-81 loss to the Raptors, who were missing Kyle Lowry. Powell did the damage for the Raptors in his absence with 23 points.

The Heat are obviously missing key pieces on the court and they’ll continue to be without Tyler Herro. Jimmy Butler also hasn’t played for a while and he’s currently listed as questionable for this one.

However, the form of Kendrick Nunn is hard to ignore off the Miami bench. In a losing effort against Toronto, he finished with 22 points and played the most minutes of any Heat player. So look for Nunn to continue posting 20+ points when Butler/Herro are sidelined and this is a favourable matchup against the mediocre defence of the Nets.

Ultimately, The Wolf can’t pass up the assist line for James Harden at the moment as he continues to get his new team-mates involved. As mentioned, he’s gone over 9.5 assists in 4 straight games with the Nets and should have no trouble against the undermanned Heat.

Value Bet

The Phoenix Suns will look for revenge as they battle the Denver Nuggets on a back to back this Sunday.

After a huge first half as the Suns scored 34 pts in both the first & second quarters, the Nuggets roared back in the second half to push the game into OT.

Ultimately, the Nuggets held on for a 4 point victory and The Wolf’s best bet of the day saluted! As we predicted, Jokic was the main man for the Nuggets in the win as he finished with 31 pts, top-scoring for Denver.

The other good news for Denver was the return of Michael Porter Jr, who’s on minute restriction as he makes his way back from a Covid health break.

Meanwhile, the Suns won’t be happy after their second-half collapse and The Wolf fully expects them to come out firing in this clash. Devin Booker continued his good shooting form with 31 points and will be the key offensively again.

Chris Paul also showed his assist game with 15 and as usual, Ayton was crashing the boards with 13 rebounds. So look for Ayton in the 12+ rebound category when it’s up and Paul’s assist line should be a good target as well.

All in all, The Wolf does see value in a certain shooter for the Nuggets in Gary Harris getting over 15 points again. He’s coming off 19 points against the Suns and also scored 17 of those points in regular time.

He also hit 21 points a few weeks ago against the 76ers so he seems to enjoy the tougher matchups against good teams.
