Seven game slate of NBA on Friday, and we have a NBA Finals replay with the Heat and Lakers facing off again. The Wolf is expecting another big game from Bam Adebayo coming off a triple double against the Grizzlies.
Here are The Wolf’s NBA tips for Friday.
It took a couple of games for Nikola Vucevic to settle into Chicago’s system, but the former Orlando big has found his rhythm the last two games.
Vucevic posted 22 points and 13 rebounds against the Nets two games back, and his last game against the Pacers Vucevic finished with 32 points and 17 rebounds.
His rebound line is currently set at 10.5, which appears a tad low. Vucevic averages 11.7 rebounds per game this season, and is relatively consistent averaging 11.9 over the last month as well as the last two months.
The Bulls face the Raptors in this who enter this without Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet – which means they’ll need to play Chris Boucher additional minutes, which works in Vucevic’s favour having a big size advantage over the makeshift Toronto big.
Vucevic posted 14 and 18 rebounds in the two games he played against Toronto this season when representing Orlando, and although he’s cleared the 10.5 rebound line in two of his six games with Chicago, prior to the trade he cleared this line in 10 of his last 16 games with the Magic.
Expect Vucevic to carry momentum from his last two games into this Raptors clash and record a big stat line.
Bam Adebayo’s assist line for Miami’s clash with the Lakers is set at 4.5, which appears quite short. Adebayo is coming off a triple-double last game against the Grizzlies, even with Victor Oladipo in the rotation, and could quite easily do the same thing again on Friday.
Bam has cleared the 4.5 assist line in 9 of his last 12 games since returning from injury, posting 6+ in seven of those games including three of the last four.
The Heat played the Lakers February 20 winning by two points, with Adebayo posting 16 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and we can expect an even greater output against Andre Drummond, who’s not near the defensive ability of Marc Gasol. In Bam’s last two games against Drummond he posted 9 assists on both occasions.
Over the last month the Lakers are the easiest team in the NBA for centres to produce assists against, 23% above average.
I’m liking Bam to have at least 6 assists in this at the value of $2.25, but the $15 on offer for him to record another triple-double is certainly worth a small play.
