The Washington Wizards are making a huge playoff push led by Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal. They face the Cleveland Cavaliers once again, and The Wolf expects Beal to produce another monster performance similar to last time they met.
Here are The Wolf’s NBA tips for Saturday.
The Wizards continue to kill it and although Bradley Beal only managed 27 points last game against the Lakers, he gets another look at a Cavs team that cannot guard him.
Beal’s points line is set at 29.5 for Saturday’s clash against a team he scored 33 against just three games back, with Cleveland the second easiest team in the NBA for small forwards to score against over the last month at 19% above average.
Beal has been red-hot lately averaging 32.9 points from his last 10 games scoring 30+ points on eight of those occasions.
The Wizards are desperate to keep winning to make their run for the play-in game, so we should expect Bradley Beal to produce another big offensive effort. With the Cavs defending the point guard reasonably well, Westbrook’s points will be down and expect Beal’s production to go right up.
Take the 29.5 points line but 35+ points into a Wizards win paying $4 is great value.
Hasn’t Jaylen Brown just turned it on for the Celtics recently? The athletic Boston wing scored 39 against the Thunder and backed it up with 38 against the Hornets, and with the Celtics actually needing to win to get out of the play-in zone we can expect another big performance when they face the Spurs Saturday.
Brown averages 29.1 points from his last nine games, scoring 25+ points in five of those nine games including three of the last five.
The Celtics lost to the Spurs in San Antonio last time they met on January 27 with Brown managing 24 points, but there has been some personnel changes since, and the recent loss of Derrick White for San Antonio is a big blow with the combo-guard finding some form recently.
Kemba Walker won’t play this game which provides Brown even more opportunity to have a big game, and the Celtics should be too good on their home floor against the Spurs.
