A very strong trial from AUGUST RUSH leading into this race. He showed some promise throughout his first prep in January. Given time to mature and looks ready to return to the track. MARKWELL TRANSPORT has been banging the door down in his three runs to date. Has plenty of speed, he will look to find the front from barrier 6 and give them something to chase. LITTLE MISS SASS was competitive on debut, and will only be better for the experience. Can improve further here. WOMENSWORLD can improve off that debut effort.

About Port-macquarie Racecourse
Port Macquarie Racecourse is a provincial track close to the towns of Newcastle and Coffs Harbour. The track is run by the Port Macquarie Race Club and hosts 20 race meetings every year. The feature event of the carnival is the Port Macquarie Cup run over 2000 metres and worth $100,000 in prize money.
