At the time of writing (Tuesday) the track is rated a soft 6 and with light rain forecast until race day it seems we'll be playing on affected ground. Former Victorian AYE VEE AITCH has been trialling well ahead of his local debut and has shown enough ability to prove very competitive in this. Keep him very safe. MUSEE DU LOUVRE was no match for the victor on debut but gave a sight and will only be improved. VIKING SUN was a safely held placegetter fresh but will be better for that hitout. Check for support on former NSW gelding RED ROCKS BEACH.

About Mackay Racecourse
Ooralea Racecourse is located in the Queensland town of Mackay. Run by the Mackay Turf Club, it hosts more than 20 midweek races and eight feature race days. The track has four starting positions. The Mackay Cup is run in July as a prelude to the Townsville Cup.
