Friday night at the Gold Coast. Goldmarket night to be precise. Eight race card, kick things off with a 1400m Maiden Plate. Map says any/all of no's 2,3,7,11,12,14 could have designs on leading. If they remain this should be run at better than standard time for the class. If they remain it also sets up well for something to emerge from the pack. Thing is some of those are drawn wide and may scratch due to that. If the pace remains ROSA KISS should be in the finish. Had no luck at Eagle Farm last start, for mine if unimpeded and not checked most likely wins that race. No surprise to see Mark Du Plessis stick like glue. SWAG looks a serious chance. Was four weeks between assignments then caught four wide and wider, dug deep to finish 4th. PAPER DOLL is fit and well, runner-up all five this time in. Was surprised to see KOOLATAH QUEEN opting out of a very suitable race at the Sunshine Coast recently, opting for the MM Maiden. Sp'd $91.00 in that dream, which was about the right price - beat two home. B1st this evening, give thought here.

About Gold-coast Racecourse
Gold Coast Racecourse is located close to Surfers Paradise, and is operated by the Gold Coast Turf Club. It hosts race meets mid-week and on Saturday. The track has a circumference of 1885 metres and a final straight distance of 400 metres. The Magic Millions Carnival is held here annually in January and features the Magic Millions Classic.
