Queensland's biggest race, the time-honoured Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap will be run & won at Eagle Farm on Saturday. Coupled with another 'major', the J.J. Atkins plus a cracking support card it's a day of racing not to be missed. The weather? Ughhh... track rated a soft (7) at acceptance time Wednesday morning with more showers to come. I'm with the import YELLOW JERSEY in this opening race named in honour of a Queensland race calling great. Ex lightly raced French galloper with a good wet track record, cruised home to win a recent Sunny Coast trial on a heavy (10).

About Eagle-farm Racecourse
Eagle Farm Racecourse is Queensland's premier track. It hosts the Brisbane Cup, QLD Derby, Victory Stakes and the Stradbroke Handicap. The track is operated by the Brisbane Racing Club. It is located on over 60 hectares of land in Ascot. The track has a circumference of 2027 metres and a 434-metre-long straight.
