Selections: 4-3-12-11

TREACHEROUS DAN (12) started a hot favourite when resuming after 14 months and proved too good with a maiden win by 3.7m at this circuit and distance. Takes a step up in grade and cops a tougher draw on the back row but will be fitter and has plenty of upside so can go through his grades. MASON JOLIE (11) hasn't raced since the Reg Withers Classic in February but was progressing well prior, winning two of his previous three outings. Tricky draw but is likely to have developed further with maturity. Tougher draw for TALKBABYTALK (13) this time but he is going well, clocking in second after racing parked at Melton last week and winning three in a row prior. Strikes at 50 per cent at this circuit and distance so can play a role with even luck. DENVER MAN (4) will be fitter for an encouraging fresh effort when he came from the back row for fourth at Bendigo. PISTOL PEARCE (3) can feature again after coming from this barrier to place at Cranbourne last Sunday.
