TRYX VIXEN (4) ended her last campaign with a win at this circuit and distance and kicked off this prep in the same way when she raced parked from this barrier but dug deep to get home narrowly. Fitter so could go on with it. COVERED IN GOLD (7) has switched to the Chris Svanosio yard since last seen seven weeks ago and has been readied by placing in two Melton trials. The driver has some work to do from this wide starting position but the trial performances suggest he is in good order. TEX GOES BANG (1) gets the ace draw so is worth plenty of thought after working but proving too tough in a last-start win by 1.2 metres at this circuit and distance. FEAR THE POWER (5) is in the mix after coming from a similar barrier and finishing fourth at Shepparton last time out.
