Rob of Coogee, NSW definitely figured out the spend small-win big trick this week, picking up an amazing quaddie win at Randwick on Monday to cap off the Easter weekend in style. It was either brave or crazy, but he decided to one-out in each leg, picking numbers (7/4/5/6) for $5 in the hope of landing an Easter miracle. Bledisloe made sure the bet was off to a good start with a win in the first leg, and Samui Lad did its part to make Rob a happy Lad with a win in the second. Al’s Pride would have been extremely proud in the third, getting the job done and paying $9 for the win. All that was standing in his way of a quality quaddie collect was the final leg, and he was praying that Dee’n’gee could bring some late Easter joy. In what would have been a nerve-racing moment, Dee’n’gee held on for the win, and Rob was about to hold on to $4,015!

‘It really was a great end to the Easter weekend, still cant believe I got $4,000 from a $5 bet!’

Kelly of Maribyrnong, VIC won big thanks to a tremendous trifecta on the weekend, getting a sensational result on race 6 at Caulfield last Saturday. With a very cold and windy day on the cards in Melbourne, she put $20 on (10,6,7) to brighten up the afternoon. The good news is that Smokin’ Joey produced some smokin’ speed to blitz the rest of the field and get first place, while Under the Eiffel also fared well to run second. If bagman could finish in third, Kelly would be bagging a win! It would have felt like an eternity, but when the results were confirmed, Bagman was third, and Kelly just bagged a $3,152 win!

Leanne of Tweed Heads, NSW scored a hole-in-one with a great golf multi this week, and lived up to our favourite saying of ‘spend small-win big’ to become a punter of the week. By putting just 35 cents on a golf multi, she turned into a nice $157.11! Here is how she did it:

‘I have lots of fun taking small multis in the hope of getting the winners of two or three golf tournaments each weekend. I often have luck and last weekend bobbed again – I had the winner of the Sicilian Open, Thorburn Oleson paying $26 all up the winner of the Shell Houston Open, Hunter Mahan paying $21.

I had the thrill of watching my golfers over four days and turn my 35 cents into much more! It was so exciting.

It was a mix between study and luck, but you can never be sure of what really happens!’

Ben of Roseberry, NSW turned $30 into over $4,700 with a quality quaddie last week, cleaning up on a great day of races at Rosehill. With the first leg of the quaddie about to kick off, he chucked his $30 on numbers (4,6,13/5,6,8/3,8,12/2,3,11) to hopefully land some Saturday night spending money. Manighar took the honours in the first leg with a great turn of foot enough to blitz the field, followed by $15 shot Ofcourseican winning the Coolmore Classic, making it two from two for Ben. The cheers got louder when Colorado Claire sent Ben to the last leg, and it was really time to celebrate when Title was first past the post, giving him a $4,700 win!

Greg of Homebush, NSW not only got the quaddie this week, he got the massive Punter of the Week quaddie, thanks to a marvellous day out at Morphettville last Friday. With the weekend upon him, he thought he would kick back by putting on a $5 quaddie, and went for the ‘all or nothing’ approach by going one-out in each of the four legs! The magic numbers were (1/7/6/11) and the appropriately named Birdman got the ball rolling, as it flew around the track to take the honours, and take the quaddie into the next leg. He was one step closer to a bundle of cash in the second leg, because Gold Bundle was too good in race 6, and he could just about see the winnings when Exalted Blonde caused an upset in the third leg, paying a cool $10 for the win. It was all up to Bigbadbarry to be too big and bad for the rest of the field in the last race of the day, and bring Greg a very big quaddie
