Free Bet Promotions – Terms and Conditions

Promotional Period

The promotion commences at 9:00am on Monday 1 January 2007 and ends at 11:59pm on Friday 31 December 2012 (“Promotional Period”).

Eligibility

Only Sportsbet Pty Ltd (“Sportsbet”) members (Member/s”) are eligible to participate in the promotion.
Non-Members are required to register with Sportsbet to redeem a free bet (“Free Bet”)
Members must be over 18 years of age.
Free Bets are those issued to Members via a Sportsbet scratch card (“Scratchie”), via an SMS mobile phone promotion (“SMS Free Bet”) or email promotion (“Email Free Bet”) or by any other means.
For Scratchies, Members must scratch off the grey layer of the Scratchie to reveal three matching denominations.
If three denominations are matched, that value is won in a free bet (“Free Bet”).
Winning Members must also scratch off the grey layer to reveal the prize code (“Prize Code”).
For SMS Free Bets the Prize Code is contained in the text of the offer and with Email Free Bets, the prize code is either contained as a Prize code in the text, or a Hyperlink is included in the email which will automatically insert the Free Bet into the member’s account upon joining or clicking the link and logging into your account .
Once a Member is logged into www.sportsbet.com.au (“Site”), the Member must click on Redeem FREE Bets in the Offers section to claim a Free Bet from a Free Bet Card or offer that includes a Prize code. Or this can be entered on the Join Now page as part of registering your details to create a Sportsbet account.
The Member must then enter the Prize Code. If the Prize Code is entered three times incorrectly, the Member will be required to call Sportsbet Customer Service on 1800 155 887.
Once the correct Prize Code has been entered, the Free Bet will be credited to the Members account immediately.
The Free Bet will be visible to the Member along the top menu bar adjacent to the Members account balance.
To use the Free Bet, Members must login to the Site and select the event they wish to place a bet on. If that sport or event has the Free Bet drop down menu next to the STAKE box, the Free Bet can be placed on that sport and/or Event. Some Free Bets may be restricted to a specific event/s.
The Free Bet is valid for 30 days from the time that the Free Bet is credited to the Members account or the Prize Code has been entered.
If the Free Bet has not been used within that time, it will become void and unable to be redeemed.
Once the Free Bet is in the Members account, the Free Bet can be used for one bet to be placed on the internet and via 1800 132 387.
If the Free Bet has minimum odds restrictions, it can only be placed on fixed price events. Racing Fixed Prices are available on the Internet approximately 20 minutes prior to the advertised start time of the race.
Free Bets can be used on a Win or Place wager on any racing event. Or a single betting market for any Sport event. Free Bets can be used on MultiBets, depending on restrictions.
The Free Bet must be used in its entirety and should the Free Bet be successful, only winnings as the result of the Free Bet will be credited into the Members account once the bet has been resulted.
The “No Deposit” required Free Bet promotion is only available to Australian residents living in Australia. International residents living outside of Australia are eligible for Deposit related Free Bet offers only.

Prior to any withdrawal any winnings from a Free Bet must be turned over at least once by Australian residents living in Australia.

Winnings from the Free Bet do not need to be turned-over in one single bet. Turnover of winnings can be made in small bets (eg. min $1 per bet over the internet or min $50 per phone call; meaning a member can place multiple wagers equal to $50), or in any amount over the minimum bet size.
Members who join Sportsbet and do not make a deposit before applying for an Internet Credit Account will waive their right to receive Sportsbet’s initial free bet bonus offer. Other free bet bonus offers will be available to members with an Internet Credit Account.
Members who join Sportsbet and receive Match Bet Free Bet bonus are subject to the Terms & Conditions of the Match Bet Free Bet offer and the Terms & Conditions contained in this information page.
Free Bet cards promoted by Sportsbet and its Affiliates and Prize Codes advertised by Sportsbet may have restrictions on a maximum of 1 or 2 Free Bet offers per promotion. Some offers may be restricted to a no deposit join now Free Bet only redeemable via the Join Now page. Free Bets are restricted to 1 Free Bet wager on any single event. If a member places a Wager on a head to head market with ‘cash’ and also attempts to place a Free Bet wager on the opposite bet market, or another bet market in the same event, the Free Bet will not be able to be redeemed on the same event *(but can be redeemed on a different event or sport).

General

The Free Bet offer is intended for bona fide Members, that is, those Members who act at all times in good faith, sincere, without fraud, who place bet with a Sportsbet for the purpose of recreation and entertainment.
Professional gamblers or other gamblers considered by Sportsbet management (hereafter referred to as “Management”) to be abusing the Free Bet may have their right to participate in the Offer revoked.
Sportsbet reserves the right to cancel or change the Free Bet at any time throughout the Promotional Period without notice.
The decisions of Management are final. No correspondence will be entered into.
Management, employees of Sportsbet and group of companies and agents are not eligible to participate in the Free Bet.
Participation in the promotion confirms acceptance of the terms and conditions of Sportsbet membership.
