Politics Betting

Australians love a bet
It’s a bit of a cliche to say this, but Australians will bet on almost anything. Not only is betting on horse racing and other sports hugely popular of course, but also betting on politics – which I guess could be considered a sport of sorts. Sportsbet.com.au offers markets on the winning party in Australian elections, as well as who is going to lead each of the major parties into each election, and even when the next election is going to be held. As well as Australian politics, there’s also betting on the US election, including Democratic and Republican party nominations, as well as what’s going to happen in European politics.
Also popular is betting on finance, such as how high the Australian dollar is going to climb, and what’s going to happen to interest rates.
