Socceroos to wear new away strip.. in a home game

It seems that clubs and countries update their playing kit any chance they get these days, with the English national team replacing their latest home strip after using it for only nine games (which no doubt pleased the millions of fans who forked out to buy it) .
Not to miss out, the Socceroos are also in the process of changing their playing kit, and have controversially decided to debut their new away strip against Saudi Arabia tomorrow night – despite the fact that it is a home game. Regardless of the green and gold not being on show, it’s always a special occasion when the Socceroos play in Australia, but you have to admit the match below looks set to be an absolute classic:
Young fan leads Liverpool celebrations

One of the most famous clubs in world football, Liverpool won their first trophy in six years this morning with a thrilling penalty shootout win over Cardiff City. In a game that had it all, including two goals in extra time, Steven Gerrard’s cousin Anthony missed his penalty to send his famous cousin to the trophy podium.
Reds fans all around the world kicked off some wild celebrations, and were inspired by this young scouser who got a little bit carried away amid all the excitement:
Daytona 500 is here!
Daytona, it’s much more than the day where 150,000 Americans head to the track to watch cars drive around in circles for a few hours. It’s one of the most treasured days in the motor racing calendar, and more importantly a great chance to brag to your mates about how good you used to be at the video game back in the day:
Time Extension!
Rudd vs Gillard.. again
Well it’s all going off in Canberra as our politicians try and sort out their differences in a very civilized manner.. or not. In an expolsive turn of events, K- Rudd resigned from the post of Foreign Affairs Minister, and will go head to head with Julia Gillard in a leadership ballot this Monday to determine who will lead the Labor Party.
With all class appearing to be thrown out the window, it’s been an ‘anything goes’ battle between the two so called leaders. Here at sportsbet.com.au, we’ve been working hard researching some inspiring speeches by political leaders, and came across this absolute cracker from our good mate George W. Bush. Enjoy!

LeBron getting schooled by a kid!
One of the biggest weekends on the American sports calender, the NBA All Star weekend, has arrived. The rookie game, slam dunk contest and three point shootout all feature prior to Monday’s main event – the All Star Game.
Unfortunately the slam dunk contest has lost its spark in recent times, with this year’s contestants barely house hold names. In an event made famous by none other than the one and only Michael Jordan, a young fan is doing all that he can to entice Miami Heat superstar LeBron James to strutt his stuff and show off his dunking abilities.
Phil Mickelson (and his fans) on a roll

This year’s Northern Trust Open came to a dramatic conclusion when American Bill Haas claimed victory in a playoff against Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley. Golf nuts around the world were on the edge of their seat, particularly when Phil Mickelson birdied the 18th hole to stay in the tournament.
One enthusiastic fan could not stay on the edge of his seat, and began to roll in celebration of Phil’s great shot:
